News from Our Clinic:

Patient Communication System Update:
Nov 28, 2023

Dear Valued Patients,

Elmsdale Dental Clinic is updating its messaging system to ensure a more streamlined communication with patients. This change will begin at the end of November and be completed by December 4th, 2023.

What does this mean for you?

The phone number from which you were receiving text messages will change. Patients will still be able to respond, in real time, to the new number.  The previous SMS (text) number will no longer be valid. These changes DO NOT impact the main Elmsdale Dental Clinic phone number, which remains (902) 883-7624.

This update will give your Elmsdale Dental team the ability to email forms, statements, health history updates, and more from our patient portal. This also means that you could be asked to complete a new health history form prior to your next appointment, even if you have previously completed it. As such, we do apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are anticipating minimal interruptions to the outgoing appointment reminders, but should you have any questions or concerns regarding this, or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We appreciate your continued support as we move to better the overall Elmsdale Dental Clinic experience.

Sincerely,

Your Elmsdale Dental Clinic Team

PREVIOUS NEWS AND UPDATES:
Masking Update; May 29, 2023

Effective May 26, 2023 The Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia announced it would be lifting the mandatory masking previously required in dental clinics.

As such, Elmsdale Dental Clinic has lifted the mandatory masking of our patients and staff in non clinical settings.  Your dental care team will still be wearing their mask during your dental procedure and during times of disinfection.  We thank you for your patience the last 3 years as we have navigated through the changes.  As a patient of the clinic you now have the choice if you wish to wear a mask or not.

Thank you for your continued support and we are excited to finally see your face, all of it, again!

Covid 19 Update- June 1, 2020

Last week we received the news that we had all been anxiously waiting for, with Premier MacNeil and Dr Strang announcing that a number of services, including dentistry, will be permitted to reopen on 05 June. It is important to note that this reopening of dental offices across  the province is a phased-in approach , with treatment being limited to the treatment of dental emergencies only. We are currently reviewing the protocols forwarded to us from the Provincial Dental Board so that we may continue to provide the safest environment possible within which to treat our valued patients. Once the guidelines have been reviewed and protocols tested we will communicate with patients that contacted us throughout the Pandemic with dental emergencies and will schedule appointments. If you are experiencing a new onset of dental emergency symptoms, please contact us directly and we will schedule an appointment.

Having said that, life is not going be the same as it was before the outbreak, and this is certainly true for our clinic as well as all other offices across the country. Therefore , we encourage patience and understanding as we go forth into the “ New Normal” together.  We ask you please DO NOT phone the clinic at this time to reschedule your routine hygiene appointments and routine restorations.  We will be contacted you once we are able to provide those services but during this first phase will need our phone lines for emergency care.   Be assured our staff is working very hard to maintain the highest level of oral health care .

We look forward to seeing your smiles again!❤️
